Our Story
Three generations, one olive grove, one fire.
Tucked into the slope of Afilianes, a quiet hamlet above Platania in South Pelion, To Ktima has been the Voulgari family's home and kitchen for generations. The view stretches across olive trees to the open sea and Skiathos island.
In 1990, at the insistence of some loyal customers, they decided to open their own tavern at the current location in Afilianes, converting the old family home into a tavern.
What began as a place to feed neighbors and travelers has become a small destination of its own: an unhurried meal under the grapevine, cooked the way it has always been cooked here.
Although the tavern is far from busy areas, the customers of the Voulgaris family do not hesitate about crossing a few extra kilometers when they know that they will taste the traditional lamb with potatoes slow-cooked in the wood-fired oven, or the rabbit with plums.
